So I decided to install a sub using the SVT box. For those that don't know the SVT box is only big enough for a slim 8".

New toys:
Rockford Fosgate Punch 8" P35 subwoofer RMS 300W, Dual 4ohm only 2.66" deep.
Alpine 500 watt V-Power mono amp
And Dynamat!!! Not really Dynamat, but very similar lol



I started off by Dynamatting the inside of the box and outside:


Put the foam back in:

Here is the Sub:

Wired it:

Installed it:

Ran the wires out the back where the bolt was holding the factory sub in:

Used what little dynamat I had left on the fenderwell:

Here are my amps side by side, the one with the silver on top is a four-channel amp for the door speakers, Alpine only changed the color, I might plastidip the top of the four channel lol:

The install:

Cleaned up the wiring and covered it:





I will add some blue led's around the speaker grille and a blue led in the light box, I also need to level the floor a bit more, to account for the regular spare, but I am verrrry happy with how it sounds and looks.

nice sub work...
you can trim it some and fit a 10" but it requires some work.

damn dude it looks really good. you did a great job cleaning up the wires. did you have to glue the carpet back on the box after you put the faux dynamat on it?

Cool, good to know, but this 8" is miles away and far better than the Alpine 10" that I had before.

No, the carpet is a separate piece altogether from the sub, I am thinking about using the Subring on the outside, but the will reqire me to take out the grille and re-mount it.

I plastidipped the top of my 4-channel amp (the one on the right) to make it match the power amp. They are both Alpine V-power amps, just the 4-channel is about 6 years old although I think it's a better amp than the ones made today - at least the build quality of it.



I also plastidipped the light that is on the sub-carpet, I was going to put a blue light in there, but I thought that looked gay.

I took the grille off the stock amp and mated it with the rockford Fosgate ring and ran 2 strip's of led around the inside. Also I took off the stock mesh ring on the carpet.
