As for water issues, get an outerwears pre-filter on it if you're paranoid about more water getting in.

I liked the steeda one but I saw this one and its a lot more complete. I think I'll save up for this one instead.

Unless Troy wants to set up some field testing in the tropics. Come on Troy, testing in a different climate helps a lot! :p
This one has its own maf housing as well. The only thing this thing is missing is a newmission style pipe. which could easily be modified in. Or do mine and take the steeda and modify it to be more like the k&n.

I'm gonna have to question this. The instructions clearly show the factory MAF housing being transfered.

Is there a big difference between the filters used by K&N and Steeda. Would it be correct that the K&N is a superior filter as they specialise in filters?
Is it possible to get one shipped to Australia:) I can get the Steeda.

I wonder how the Steeda CAI with the K&N tube and clamps from the MAF to the TB would work out.

I really don't like how this uses the factory MAF housing. I know on my fusion the MAF itself got transferred to the K&N tube. It provided for a much cleaner airflow, setup, and look.

I think it will fit, maybe a bit too long, but there is not that much space to start with so they have to be roughly the same size and the steeda maf housing is the right diameter to fit the stock pipe, and I don't think k&n changed theirs. However I doubt we can just buy that one part from k&n or steeda. I have a steeda and I would buy the pipe and connectors if they would sell them

Will the fact that K&N use the factory MAF housing really affect performance that much?

OK, Troy, I *tried* to put a little more money in K&N's pockets by suggesting a group buy, but you've forced me to play my hand...

Who wants one of these for $270???
AutoAnything has them for $313.95, and if you've never bought from them, you're lucky, because you can also get 15% off using the code WELCOME15. $314x85%=$267

Disclaimer - I do not work for, or are affiliated with, AutoAnything. I have, however purchased from them in the past, and received my items in a timely manner and at a low price.

See, Troy, a nice $275 group buy would've bought you some great kudos... sorry man.

Our heat shield seals perfectly against the hood liner (using CAD data from Ford) and utilizes the factory cold air duct. Also, our velocity stack smooths the incoming air providing a more accurate and consistent reading for the MAF sensor (allowing better driveability, especially on automatics). It's also less expensive.

I think Troy and Brandon need to meet half way between CA and GA to arm wrestle. Who ever wins will claim the title of superior CAI.
