I'm sitting here at the dealer now having the update applied. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's going to fix my issues.

As a side note, there is a beautiful black Shelby Mustang GT500 sitting here. (wiping up my drool)

Even though this one doesn't apply to me it's great to hear you guys seem to finally be getting some resolution to your transmission quirks.

It may be in my head, but S mode does indeed feel more aggressive.

I hope so ... while my DCT has been good to me, the S mode always seemed like it could have been more aggressive.

I got my update today. Of course I knew more about it than the service guy did. I explained it was to fix issues like vechicle roll back on inclines etc. He then put that on my service sheet that I was having an issue with rollback. When I got my service receipt it stated that rolling back on an incline was a "normal function". He obviously had no idea what the update was for or what it did.

Haven't had a chance to see if this update fixed the issue. It may all be in my head but after the update I seem to get better throttle response.

Here's my update:

I still have some shudder when letting my foot off the brake. It seems to happen after the car has been driving for a while or if I come to a quick stop (like sudden traffic on the PA Turnpike). I'll see what happens after a 1000 miles (which will be a couple of weeks for me). Has to do the adaptive learning again.

The shifting seems to be better, though, especially when going from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. When making a turn (slowing down for the turn, then pressing on the gas) it seems to be a lot smoother. So far I haven't had the "pause and lurch". It also looks like it's holding the higher gears a little longer to get better acceleration.

Haven't had a chance to test the rollback fix.

Loving the update so far! It seems to shift smoother than the 12-01-04A update (I didn't even think that was possible...) and I like the shift pattern in drive under moderate acceleration better; it seems to make more efficient use of the gearng to me (shifting at 2,500 as opposed to say 3,000) but without a feeling of lost power. I haven't done much sport mode driving yet.

I couldn't have said it better. Agree 100%
