I am not debating that they dont know their stuff or that it is a good system, or that you dont know what you are talking about as you did test it.

All i was saying is that the design is different from the steeda and more expensive than every other intake available, steeda, aem, fswerks, injen are all cheaper.

And also, how much heat does a headlight housing add to the ambient air temp? I wouldn't think it's much but I could be wrong.

probably not much, i dont really think that the differences between the two are that substantial temperature wise, really the AEM is the only one that I think offers better temperatures because the air filter is not in the engine bay.

Yeah after seeing the instructions they offer way more of an upgrade for the price, so i will take back my comment about it needing to be cheaper. They made a kit for what I was doing custom with the steeda.

I imagine the ideal set-up in the coming years will be a mixture of Steeda's MAF housing and what K&N has done, possibly with the 3" tube in newmission's mod.

As for water issues, get an outerwears pre-filter on it if you're paranoid about more water getting in.

I liked the steeda one but I saw this one and its a lot more complete. I think I'll save up for this one instead.

Unless Troy wants to set up some field testing in the tropics. Come on Troy, testing in a different climate helps a lot! :p

Yea I think this one's the way to go. The shielding is far more complete than the Steeda. The only thing I'm worried about is the air routing to the filter. It kinda of looks like it would have to work a bit harder than steeda's, as steeda's design pipes the air right under the filter, instead of around a bend like the K&N. Still, this seems like the best thing out there. Gonna place my order tomorrow.
