Eh, ive been juggling selling my SVT and buying a MS3/STI/Evo/GTI, but part of me loves the focus too much. It has a character to it that no other car ive driven can match.

That.. and a properly boosted focus should be able to keep up with a MS3 without too much trouble. The only thing a MS3 will have over me is a limited slip Diff. And im even considering one of those too.

Well yea I mean I barley put money on my focus. I am sure you put a lot of money in yours and if I put that much into my foci I would be way to attached to sell it too lol.

Honestly, i havent put to much into it...

$1000 in audio equipment (which can be removed and moved into a new car)
$600 on a new front bumper
$500 on new headlights
$1000 on new suspension (when old suspension went bad)

Besides oil changes and basic maintenance, It hasnt been much.

Even at the price i bought my car, Ill be turbo'd and running with MS3s for just over half the price.

Nah, all the experts say that SVT engines are good for about 300hp without mods. Im only aiming for 230-250ish. Im already doing prep work to make sure my engine is in good shape.

Oh lucky that is another major reason I decided not to boost my car because then I have to get the block rebuilt to handle the power.

Nah.. ive seen duratech 2.0s handle 8-10lbs of boost no sweat. We had a local with a silver zx3 who did it, and his ran great.

You can boost just about anything so long as you dont boost it too much.

Do you know how much abuse can they take at 8 psi? I know with boost I would be abusing my engine lol. Although the smog thing would be a problem it would be a bit of a hassle to take apart a turbo and go back to stock for a smog test every 2 years or if a cop pulls you over but hey who knows what the future will hold for me and my focus =].
