The shaved hatch thing just isn't for me. But if you dig it, go for it.

Question 2001 Focus Fuel Vent inside the vehicle

Please help me with this "custom" issue. the gas or fuel fill tube had been relocated to the sil of the back hatch of the vehicle which is inside the gate to match the rest of the car (having no door handles) obviously not thought through... now the car always has gas fumes throughout... My question is, can i disconnect the vent tube from the main fill tube and run it out the side of the vehicle with a fancy decorative vent? Just concerned about any filling or running problems with this theory. Thoughts??
