Well as much as I respect aheroicrevolt for getting this thread started, the Mach 1 lip is pretty damn easy to install the way it is. You have to play around with it for it to install perfectly smoothe and straight, but easy nonetheless.

The Mach 1 lip looks great from the front and... that's about it. From the side, it does NOT flow well with the SVT. The skirts hang down a couple inches lower than the Mach 1 lip. I wish I had kept my stock SVT lip instead.

The JMS lip on the other hand would be great. We might not need all the little vents and lights, but I'd be interested in that. It would be similar to the FSwerks lip they stopped making for the 2005.

I agree... the Mach1 lip doesn't work well with the car. Mine had a mach 1 lip on it when I got it, and I quickly pulled it off and bought the correct SVT lip.

^^ even if the mach 1 lip isnt perfect they most likely could adress any of the fitment issues. if its not as low as most side skirts then it could be made to be lower even.

Anyone that knows from first hand expereince please post the issues that come with the mach1 lip. it would only help with the creation of a better fitting lip that will also have the looks that us foci owners like.

You guys both nailed it. I have the mach 1 lip. The sides on it arent as wide as the sideskirts. big difference from the front bumper to the sidesirt. Also ,Its very flimsy and after awhile of using it, it becomes wavy. Its also almost unpaintable because of how flexible it is and paint wont stick to it unless you pay bookoo bucks to use paint adhesives and stuff.

Fastzx360, to request a lip made, please post in the "want us to make something!?" thread. This is not the place.
Extreme Dimensions, did you get my email containing the picstures and my questions? I sent it almost 2 weeks ago and havent heard back.

I got it, but working on an approval. It was turned down by the owner, so I will have to keep trying.

It was turned down even after all this backing? Hmmm, I may need to call him directly and ask if he has a lip that will fit the SVT bumper. Then have my friend call a few hours later. Then another friend the next day, and another the next. His answer will be No, No, No, No. No....and finally he'll be like, "hey khurram- what was that idea you had for the Ford focus?"
Benefit you, benefit us :-)
