I feel sorry for anyone who has to parallel park one of these on a hill. (I envy anyone driving a manual who can do this)

Good info ... when I get mine in a few weeks I'll have to try what you did...

I got to drive it a bit this morning, and it felt like a whole new car again. It seemed alot more responsive on hill starts(though I never had any complaints about it before). Shifting on flat ground seemed snappier too, before it seemed to hunt around, but now its shifts faster and smoother. I drive alot in slow traffic but haven't had a chance to drive it yet. I'm hoping that's improved because before I would manually shift because it was so unpredictable. Driving in S was a great surprise, there is a more noticeable difference now between S and D.

good job Ford

Glad to hear it! I haven’t gotten the reprogramming recall applied yet, but I have been driving in manual/sport mode as well because the car has a “unique” shift pattern in drive (post TSB 12-01-04A).

The current shifting is not causing performance issues, per se. But to me the car seems to rev unnecessarily high when only a moderate amount of power is needed to accelerate (i.e. 4th gear at 40mph) and when I let off the gas (to trick it into shifting up) it would shift up 2 gears and I’d have no power to accelerate to 50mph!

And as you mentioned, there is almost no discernable difference between Drive and Sport at the moment, so I’m really looking forward to this update!

Just had this applied today. Seems a bit better, but nothing too dramatic. On the other hand, I was told it could take "a couple thousand miles" (!), for it to relearn what it has forgotten. We'll see how it progresses.

The one thing I have noticed is my avg fuel Econ seems far less since the update. I have reset it twice...but it ends up averaging about 5mpg lower than before the update.

Love to hear if anyone else's experience is similar?

It took awhile to download, but we were done in about 2 1/2 hours, as promised. Then about 20 miles of driving in traffic. I tried many times to get the shudder going, but couldn't, and it seems to drive more smoothly. I'll see how it's doing for mpg when this tank of gas runs low. My S doesn't have a readout of mpg.

Getting mine flashed in the morning although I'm not having any significant problems since the tranny flash two months ago.

Mine was serviced today for a variety of things, including the transmission reflash. I've noticed less shudder from 1st to 2nd. My invoice also explicitly lists the TSB for the low washer fluid indicator, but nothing for the oil life monitor.

It feels like a manual when you start taking your foot off the clutch while the car is in gear. It doesn't do it all the time, but it does it enough.

I called the dealer back today and mentioned the new FSA 12B37. I heard her doing some typing on the computer and after a couple of minutes she told me they just got some information about that FSA this past Friday (May 4). She told me that Ford is sending out letters during the week of May 21 and they'll have the information and updates at the end of May.

So I'll just wait it out until then. I hope this helps some people here on the forum.
Quoting myself from the DCT / PowerShift Transmission Update TSB Thread...

After hearing about some of you guys getting the 12B37 done this week and getting the response above from 1 dealer, I decided to call another dealer near me (Bill Marsh Ford in Newtown, PA) and ask them about the FSA. He put in my VIN and told me my car was due for the update. I'm bringing it in Thursday night to have it done. Hopefully it can fix the shudder issue.
