Very cool. As for the nylon belt, I have a Scheik nylon belt that I swear by now. I had a classic leather belt that I used for years and it didn't help a bit. The Scheik has a wide front and back and the support is amazing.

I forgot to post a new best:
3mi and 140 pushups in 25:16 on 04/10/2012
That's doing a set of pushups every 3rd minute: 3/6/9/12/15/18/21/24.
Very interesting workout if you've never tried it.

New running best: 3mi and 136 pushups in 24:56
Which makes me thing I only did 135 pushups on that 25:16 run.

Sophomore in high school, I just set my record for weight gain. I'm 5'11 and I wrestle 145, and was there at the end of February. I'm also an offensive lineman so, now i'm at 190. in 2 months I gained about 45 pounds.

Wow. So how'd you accomplish that?

Eating everything in sight (4,500 calories) and lifting every day. my favorite is 15 pullups, 30 dips, 20 hang from the squat rack and lift my feet up to it.

Cool. Sounds like you have some killer genes. Get me tickets to an IFBB event when you go pro.

I'm starting to get back into fitness as much as I can...being a journalist has been really time-consuming.

My best 3-mile so far was last week - 25:36. Not great, but I did it without medication so I'm proud (I'm asthmatic). Currently weighing in at 201. I'm 6'1.

That's great then. I empathize with the breathing issues. I have to use an inhaler after a run depending on pollen levels, temperature etc, but it has improved dramatically from running more frequently.
After 6 months of consistent running I pretty much have no need for the inhaler except for extreme allergy conditions (dust) that have nothing to do with running.

When I first started really exercising about a decade ago, I could barely jog without collapsing. Martial arts really shaped me up...I outpace plenty of non-asthmatics now in calisthenics, but I want more.

My lungs were always at their best when I was in Pennsylvania. I need to get out of the polluted city.
