TSB 12B37 - New?

I don't have anything listed on Ford Owner / Etis for this.

Definitely wouldn't get it applied if it stops rollback! I love that little manual quirk.

Regarding the "rough or jerky" operation of the DCT, the new calibration may be a further refinement of the previous "upgrade". Many people (myself included) don't have any issues so I'm not sure about this. Hopefully this will improve the DCT operation for those that do have problems.

It would be good to hear from some comments from those that have had this done, especially those that were not happy with their transmission.

Refinement is probably an accurate term here. The 2012 has been out for just over a year now and Ford has struggled to get the DCT under control all along. I'm glad I didn't buy early and when I receive my Ti in about 3 weeks I expect the last remaining issue still unresolved is MFT.

In both cases the refinements have been to software so if the DCT is pretty well under control with this latest update I hope they can FOCUS there efforts on MFT...

What's the date of this update BTW?

The publcation date is 5/3/12.
Affected vehicles are built from Job #1 through 3/28/12.

OK, that does suggest this is something more than the last transmission update in, what was it, December? Now we need to get some feedback from folks that get the update, folks that have had ongoing problems and those that were happy with it as it was. Fingers crossed, this may put to bed the main concern I've had. My Ti build date is the week of 5/7.

My Ti was built on 5/16/11 (Monday) and already had the TSB 12-1-4A, which backfired on me as I got issues with the transmission again. I will be paitent, though.

Whaaa,

If the date of the TSB is 5/3/2012 how did you already have it? I could see if your car was built after 3/28/12 but you indicate a build date of 5/16/11 so -- I'm confused...

I am sorry if there was a misunderstanding. There was a transmission update back on 1/4/12 published for cars produced before 8/13/11. That was what I mentioned and maybe could be an update on that in a ways.

Check my other posts in this topic... The dealer told me today that this recall was released yesterday and they did it today for me SO I would assume I am the only one out there that has had this done so far. Sadly, I will be doing driving tomorrow but not in my focus. Girlfriend needs the SUV. If I get a chance tomorrow i'll give it a go and see what's changed. If not, i'll update Sunday after I drive around for a little bit.

Yes Bilky, and everyone else that has the pre 3/28/12 FF, please give us your feedback about the update. There are those that had been unhappy with the transmission and those that were OK with it and I'd really like feedback from both after they've had a chance to test the update.

Also, since 3/23/12 seems to be the point when they began the update on new vehicle I'd like feedback from those whose build date is post 3/28/12.

It seems likely that this update has been applied to the cars made after 3/28/12 and that Ford waited to see how it performed before offering it up the everyone else....
