Painting non-mft Stereo surround.
Has anyone pulled the flat black stereo surround trim piece on the non-MFT dash? Im not sure if all of the buttons, screen, etc... are physically removeable from the trim piece so it could be painted. Was thinking of painting it either a Piano gloss black or with a color match to the exterior.

Yeah all of the vent trim pieces and buttons are removable, the screen is not attached to the surround trim piece. There are 4 screws on the back holding the buttons to the trim piece, once you remove those it easily comes off so you could paint it pretty easily.

Yeah I like the Tuscany Red and Arctic White interiors but didn't think either would go w/ blue exterior. So I'm thinking my own version in blue.

White most certainly would go with the blue. Going candy blue w/matte black outside and then flat white on various trim inside. It'll work.

I was about ready to do this, then I ordered an ST and realized it may negatively affect my resale if they don't happen to like it
