I believe there's a cover on the steering column that you have to remove, then insert the IA key for MyKey. I can't confirm, as I don't have a Ti, but I remember something being said about that.

Anyways, I might have to get one of these keys for myself - I too hate the design of the factory key.

I do have a Ti, and have programmed MyKey, which is why I said you can hold the fob up to the steering column. It doesn't need to be in the cutout, which has a cover that is a pain to remove

I also just received this key. Called my ford dealer and they wanted $199 to just cut the key HA. Called another dealer and they said $5 if anything. Got there and they say they can't cut the switchblade key with their machine. I have one more place to check for cutting, they said $35. Unless anyone else knows a place in the GTA?

Its not a bad key, the hard part is getting it cut! Hope with all the info on this thread, programming will be a breeze. Hows the OPs key holding up? Or anyone else that has had it for awhile?

Key works as good as new but 4 months is hardly a long time. I recently realized there are two tiny screws that needed tightening. These are only visible if you hold the switchblade halfway. It took the wiggly out of the switchblade.

I'd follow the eBay link and send the seller a message asking if he has one. If you do, let us know.

Mine is still going strong, only issue is that one of the tiny screws that hold the keyblade in place I think is slightly stripped as it constantly becomes loose.

I think I might get some Locktite or crazy glue and force the screw to stay in place.

I use it everyday as my Main Key, and have yet to have any other worries besides that one screw becoming loose constantly.

As for getting it cut I would look into locksmiths over car dealers, I only paid 20 bucks to get mine cut.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Just had mine cut at a super sketchy dollar store... it works and i like the form factor better.

Had to try to program they key and remote a couple times before it finally took. The first time i programmed the remote, the other oem remotes stopped working.

Ill definitely try tightening that screw that 2012sel suggested.

Does the key only turn if it is placed a certain way in the ignition for you guys? Like if you rotated it 180 degrees and tried to crank it, it doesn't move? Thats how mine is, wondering if thats how its supposed to be?
