Painted Door Moldings ZX3 still exist to order?

I have found old threads about the ZX3

"Painted body side moldings for the zx3 - only available for the colors that were available on the SVT:

4S4Z6120938XXX right door
4S4Z6120939XXX left door
4S4Z6129076XXX right quarter panel
4S4Z6129077XXX left quarter panel

replace XXX with-

AAA = vermillion = infra red
AAB = competition orange
AAC = screaming yellow
AAD = ebony = pitch black
AAE = sonic blue
AAF = silver frost = CD silver"

I was able to find the

4S4Z6120939AAF and 4S4Z6129077AAF which I need with online ford parts places, but they are coming up with a new part number that replaced it, even the item is in stock. even if I try different color code, it comes up with same "new replacement number"

I am wondering if it is no longer painted or will come in silver as requested?

Anyone have recent experience trying to get the already painted moldings?

Or are they now all just generic primed?

Prolly easier and cheaper to paint the ones you already have, there is a how-to guide on that somewhere on here. If your not confortable on painting them, a bodyshop would be your best bet.

Actually I bought a ZX3 SES and I just realized that I am completely missing both moldings on the left side of the car. the right side does have the painted moldings, but I have no moldings at all on one side. so I have to buy the two parts, but would be nice if you can still buy them already painted as you could back then from a Ford parts place with the old part numbers

Best bet would be a junkyard then, or just pull the rest of the trim off and fill in the holes - it will look 100 times better without the trim

2006 supposedly came with no holes so I might consider removing the existing molding

I tried calling around some bodyshops and so far they refused to paint the parts and said I have to go to a Ford Dealer for that stuff.... oh well

well if the door that you have now doesn't have the holes in it then you should be good on the other side
