Ignition Locked

My ignition is jammed. I bought a new lock cylinder and all i need to do it turn the key to accessories but it won't budge. ive tried getting rough with it, usuing screw drivers, everything but nothing works. Any suggestions?

Did you try moving the steering wheel left or right?

And make sure its in park also

yeah my escort wheel locks up if the car is off and i play with the wheel so i have to turn it one specific way then the key will move from its locked position again.

is it the ignition itself, or is your steering wheel a little stiff also?

Tap the end if the key with a hammer give it a good tapp lol do it a couple times key should come out!
Happened to me in my Svt
The cylinder seizes up the love taps help it come out nice and smooth lol

There was a tsb about the early foci ignition lock seized. And the hammer trick works that's how I did it at ford to get the cars into the bays

alright i got it but....i had to use a slide hammer, i grinded off that little nub that holds it in so that made it easier to get out.
