probles 2001 focus 2.0 sohc motor

put new plugs, wires, coil , fuel filter, car ran low on fuel now will no start but will turn over put on code machine no dtc showing.checked compression good ,fuel pressure is 40 psi. acts like not gettin fuel its an injected fuel system . anything or any one help please dont know wre to go next

At a guess, if you actually ran it dry it's going to take a LOT of cranking to get the air out of the system - since it has to come out through the injectors....

It would be a long shot, but check the fuel pump cut off in the back end. Maybe if the pump ran dry, the cut off activated.

should ther be a pressure check on fuel rail so you can bleed off air and you tell me how to check injectors if they were plugged i want to thank all replys

If you can hear them "clicking" they are working, SOME "SPI" cars have a schraeder valve on the fuel rail to check pressure, THOUGHT they all did but owners of ones without such corrected that impression...

Didn't see a note that you re-checked for spark - "stupid" check, but cover all bases...

Then pull a plug to check for fuel getting there - easier than pulling injectors to check "spray pattern" & safer as well... (grin)


DON'T kill the starter with a lot of continuous cranking, crank a bit - let the battery charge while the starter cools off & try again...
