i had no problem with it. it has the standard front and backing to prevent you from getting prints or scratches during install, also you can peel it and replace as long as you don't bend it too much or touch the sticky surface.
I have had a lot of practice applying these things. I do them for all my friends and family, so I am pretty good at it. I recommend watching youtube for tips on applying these. Also i recommend using scotch tape on the front edges of the protector to make removable handles for better application and positioning. The bevel of the MFT doesn't allow your fingers to get close to the edges of the screen, so the tape handles will not only help with application, but with removing the front film once it is stuck on.

As always, apply one edge first, then slowly apply in a parallel motion across the screen while peeling the backing. squeegie bubbles out with a credit card, then remove the front film.

I suggest using a soft cloth, similar to what you would clean eyeglasses with.

Problem is, those pesky fingerprints reappear every time one touches the screen...which is very difficult to avoid. It's fairly easy to avoid touching the lenses of my eyeglasses, but the MFT screen...not so much. On my next Ford, I'll just make sure to buy a model that does not have a touch screen.

I agree the MFT screen is terrible picking up fingerprints, but a $17 Nushield solved the problem and I still get to enjoy the touch screen interface... much more reasonable solution IMO than not having the tech option to begin with (as you state your plan is...)

Agreed. I have one in the sungless holder w/my shades but also keep a Micro Towel on hand and that is much better because the whole screen is done in a swype or 2.

Cant say I've ever had a problem with fingerprints or glare. Just wipe it down with the cloth and you're good.

So the Nushield does reduce the fingerprints? The product lit states that the NuShield "Can show fingerprints"

When I read that I basically thought it was pointless to use it. My MFT already has antiglare to some degree. I wouldn't ever say its glossy and reflects like an Ipad or anything.

It GREATLY reduces fingerprints... they still show a little, but much better than the unprotected screen. I highly recommend for anybody with MFT

I might get some flak for this, but I saw somewhere in the past that the MFT display actually responds to a stylus. So, I bought a 3-pack of Nintendo DS stylus' (styli?) and I'll be darned, the screen responds to the input. Just like with your finger, you have to apply just a tiny bit of pressure at the tip of the pen to the screen and it will respond. But unlike your finger, it leaves no trace of the contact. I haven't had to wipe my screen in a month. I just have to grab the pen whenever I need to change screens. For everything else, I have Siri's retarded step-sister - Doris.

I think the MFT screen is a resistive touch screen which requires pressure. So, a stylus, fingertip, or the knuckle of the finger would all work. Does the NuShield require additional pressure for the screen to detect touches? To clean my laptops I've used Radtech's Optex product for several years. Great stuff.
