I would clean an MAF that didn't through a complete fail code before I replaced it. Spray cleaner works great.

Ok, I have spark but not fuel. Also a 0302 code. I replaced the speed sensor when it first started and the crankshaft sensor about 3 months ago.

302= misfire cylinder #2. Clear that code to see what comes up again. It might not be indicative of a problem in that cylinder if fuel is being cut to all cylinders that's just the first one that doesn't fire.

Try bypassing the fuel cutoff switch since you don't have fuel. Make sure your bypass is good- I'd use solid copper insulated wire that you can be sure is making the connection between the pins on the plug. I honestly haven't heard of this part going bad in many years, but it's cheap to check it. Make sure whatever you use there- if you use something like a paperclip- that you use electrical tape to hold it in place and prevent it from shorting. If that's the problem, then you'll know in 6 mins- right?

Sorry, code was 320 not 302 typo. I just swapped my MAF sensors and it did not fix it either.

Did you ever check the coil plug-in connector? Pull on the wires going to it and see if any were loose? This is not the spark plug wires, but the power plug to the coil. Sometimes those wires loosen inside the plug connector. It will look like the wire is going in there, but it won't be making a connection inside, and if you pull on the wire it will pull out.

I would make sure where ever you go is less than 5 miles away and your going to be there longer than 10 mins.

On a side note, not with this car but with my old honda. I had similar issues but it was the distributor.

OK I think I may have finally figured it out! I looked up 320 code and one possibility was crank position sensor. I drove the car until it died and it wouldnt start again as usual. I checked the crank position sensor and realized there is no longer a retaining clip, I wiggled the clip and it started right up! Looks like I need to find a retaining clip. Thanks everyone for your help and ideas!

LOL..... yeah, I would've gone there if you'd checked out the coil, but I didn't want you to be like some people who replace stuff without checking. I totally forgot about the clip. I have heard that on here before. Next time- right?

I'd rig something up for temporary- zip tie, tie wire- whatever, then go search salvage yards. Best of luck!

GREAT! You found it!

More often than not, it's something "stupid"(In this case a loose connector).

Glad you found the "cheap fix" B4 throwing bucks into things that weren't broken...
