Need some opinions

Ok so I also posted this in the header sticky, not sure why though.... so I decided to re-post out here. I have a leak in my flex pipe and in the exhaust right before the muffler. I've decided to replace with an OBX race header and the fswerks Race Performance Exhaust System. (not sure why I can't link to the fswerks site...) I might pick a different OBX header though because they have the removable flex pipe. Then I would have to do the $2 O2 cheat I found on here somewhere since the other headers don't have the O2 extension. I'm just looking for a nice deep tone, no rice...

The factory manifold/converter/flex on the ST's are a 1 piece system. Fwerk's/ obx has a collector where the flex bolts to that & to your exhaust system. Yes you can use a 4 pin mil eliminator. The best way to go is w/ a tune. I have a Fwerk's header/flex w/ the stealth muffler.

Thanks for the heads up! The more I think about it I kind of want to try to just fix my flex-pipe and put on the stealth exhaust. I really don't feel like dealing with all the emissions stuff. I'd rather not end up with a huge fine or anything. Also I don't know how right he is but a buddy of mine said that tricking the second o2 sensor messes up your air fuel ratio and drops your fuel economy. I really don't HAVE to have the header, I'm just trying to find a cheaper alternative than replacing the mani-cat. I found a Dorman replacement for $600 instead of an OEM one for $1400. I figure with 110k the cats probably shot anyways. Or maybe just fix the flex with a universal one. Only problem is that the whole thing is so tightly packed together I don't know if there's enough material. What do you guys think?

Between $600. & $1400. you could have a Fwerks header & a tune to turn off the rear o2 senser & pass emmissions. If they just plug in to the obd2 & check for codes= no issues than.
