p1518 code

okay got the popular p1518 code. i plan on checking this out this weekend. i have read the how too's and other post. but i want to make sure the car is running fits the imrc issue. okay my car boggs down when im giving it gas from a dead stop till about 3k or 4ish rpm then it picks up. i also have a high rpm on the first crank. but when i just drove to autozone about a hour ago it ran the best since i have own it. it had what im guessing all the power its suppose to have. then i turned it off at autozone. once i cranked it back up and started home had the slow start and bogg rpms. does this sound right? thank you for any advice.

Do you have Tom's Tune?
If not, his tune will get rid of your 1st gear bog.

Are you planning on changing the Intake Manifold Runner Control?
Unless you found the DIY on how to rebuild it, you are going to have to replace it.

Tom sells SCT tuners and gives you free tune updates when you mod your car.

i dont know yet i drove it last night for about 10 miles. i still have two other issues the p1383,p0420 so the cel will come back on and as soon as it does off to autozone to see if the p1518 went away. wasnt too hard to do the diy on the imrc.

Your imrc doesn't work good all the time. Mine is doing the same thing, sometimes I throws codes sometimes it doesn't. Finally I got time to open the imrc box, I put some synthetic grease on the gears and it runs good now. Check the how-to archieve there is how to DIY if you are not familiar with foci's.
