Yea well, Advance auto parts does not sell a pass axle for the MTX75.

IDK what those two axle's that he gave me go to, but the first one which turned out to be a auto trans axle, was to big on the splines to go into the diff, and it was a half inch too short.

The second one that they gave me, that they were sure it was for the MTX75 and would fit, was even worse when I got it home to compare, the splines for the diff were 0.101 too small, and the whole thing was a inch too short, and on top of that, the guy charged my card twice, so I have wait for the next 2-3 business days to get my $$$ back.

I was just so pissed off I didn't even bother checking Autozone, But I did find a local place called " Auto parts international", and they say they have it brand new for $84, and they said this should fit, it's not a remake.

Advanceautoparts

Also just to warn people with the MTX75. Ford discontinued making these passenger axle's, and there are now only 5 brand new one's still left in circulation for $367.

Update:

Auto parts international in Farmington, CT rocks.

They had the passenger axle for my 03 zx3 2.3l MTX75. It fits like a glove.

Correction:

Got it all back together, and now something is wrong, I think it's too short, because one of the boots it twisted up, almost like inside of it, the joint wasn't connected.

I have started new thread in tech area, to hopefully get more traffic through the thread, and get this problem solved.

Here's a pic of the problem.

Looks like the axle is too short to engage with itself?
