ST to SVT engine swap possibilities?
So I picked up my 2002 SVT used, five years ago, and used it as a daily driver. I've taken pretty good care of her over the years, but age is starting to show a little and my eye is drifting toward the new ST, but I couldn't bear to get rid of Ezzie (Yeah, so I still name my car...). My question is this: How possible would it be to put the new ST engine into an old Focus body? I know this question is probably hard to answer, considering the ST isn't even on sale yet, but I figure there are people out there who know a lot more than I do, and maybe I can get an answer from one of them. Thanks!

There's actually an engine swap forum where several swaps have been talked about, but I don't think there's one on the 2012 ST to an 02. i imagine it would cost as much as another used svt would cost though. You're be looking at going from a ztec to a duratec, which is ton of work, and not for the faint of wallet. I think that, in theory, it can be done, but you're looking at a lot of labor hours...
and welcome to FF!!
