Hood Struts?

Does anyone have or make a good set of hood struts? I wanna ditch the hood prop for some nice struts? Looked a little into it but not much.

I bought abd installed the two strut system from the British firm. They were awkward to install. About a year later I found the Redlinetunig advert and bought it, single strut. Easier to install, and seems to work OK. I prolly should of gone w/ the Redline first!!!

i know the price is a little steep, but your getting a great product and a company that stands behind it, Ive seen these things last a long time, a cheaper strut will work just fine I'm sure but it may wear out prematurely.

Also as far as I know this is the only "kit" for hood struts on the market.

Well i was hoping for a lower price but ill have to add it too the list. I cant stop spending money on my lightning.

Just get one from the hatches from junk yard or whatever and DIY. I got one from audi a4, bmw's have also and many more. I gave them $20 for taken out and $15 if you like to take it out yourself. This was 2 years ago. GL

I didnt think it was just that easy. I thought the gas struts need to be #1. the proper length and #2. the right amount of pounds what it will lift.

On my car my right side (drivers side) is open and clean. The left side has the washer tank so i cant go with a 2 shock setup i have to use just 1 and its really lifting alot of weight.

I went with the redline myself.

Damn i wish my engine bay was that clean. I dont even care about mine since ford wont pay to repaint my inner fenders. Damn sonic blue chipping off bs. I have to say though, i enjoy your engine cover. That is sharp.

Thanks, i spent some time on it. Its still a very messy looking engine if you ask me. Ford/mazda who ever could of spent a little more time routing the wires a little better IMO. It is a cheap car but jeesh there is so much electrical tape used it looks really messy and just thrown together.

The engine cover from FSWerks hides alot of it. Im also glad everything matched. I wasnt sure if the cover, the intake and the brace would al match but they do and im glad for that.
