Issues Downloading Sync Gen 1 v3.2.2 update

So after recently purchasing a new Ford Focus SE Hatch, the syncmyride website says my version of Sync is Gen 1 v3.1.1 and that 3.2.2 update is out.

I have multiple 4GB flash drives (SanDisk and Butterfly) handy. When I try and download the update, after selecting the flash drive from the pop-up, the download fails. Tells me to make sure there is 2GB free (there is), that the drive isn't password protected (it isn't), then gives me the option to try again.

I am at a lost on how to get the update on to my flash drive. Any ideas?

Try using a fresh, formatted drive. I had to format before it would work.

I have. I formatted them fresh with FAT32. Still fails.

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to jump in and clarify some info. If you have SYNC software version 3.1.1 already installed, that is the most up-to-date version available. If your vehicle is equipped with 3.1, you can update to 3.1.1 and the same goes for vehicles equipped with 3.2. They're able to install the 3.2.2 update.

If you check http://cot.ag/qgA1fe (SyncMyRide) for available updates, you'll see the SYNC Status Checker.

The SYNC Status Checker is a small piece of software that records the present version that's installed in your vehicle. Once you choose to download it onto your USB, plug it into your vehicle's USB port, and SYNC will automatically record its version onto the drive. Return to your account page to report your SYNC status.

I hope this helps!

Jaclyn
