More Firmness

Is there anything i can add to my 06 zx3 sap that can tighten up the steering? I love the stock ride quality cuz i think it rides nice but want a little quicker turning at higher speeds?

Poly bushings, might be one of the best upgrades you can do. However it does take some time to install every one of them little buggers

H&R Street-Perf. Coil-Over



The Street Performance Coil-Over Kits' threaded body means that the outside of the strut or shock tubes are threaded like a bolt. This allows the threaded spring perch to be moved up or down to fine-tune the ride height, further optimizing looks and handling. These coil-overs feature H&R's exclusive damper technology. Each shock is specifically engineered to work smoothly with the progressive rate springs.

The BEST improvement for my car, was installing SVT suspension, wheels & summer performance tires.

You'd need an adapter kit for your front knuckles for the struts to fit, but it's still a cheap upgrade that doesn't adversely effect the ride. Tightens it up, drops it a bit, BUT it's STILL less "jarring" than a STOCK '08 Honda Civic.

SVT rear sway bar, poly bushings on the rear bar and so on are upgrades you can add one by one as desired...

Stock is good, SVT is Worlds better...

Looking to stay stock ride height, only because its also my winter warrior. Snow drift + Sap bumper + lowered front end = not good at all. Thanks fellas

First make sure all the steering components are in good condition including tie rod ends, ball joints, even the rack itself. Fresh bushings should have an immediate impact whether poly ones or not. Generally "quicker" steering at high speeds is not desirable. Maybe what you looking for is a reduction in "under-steer" aka "push". This can be done by going to a slightly larger rear sway bar. I agree that the SVT suspension kit is a nice inexpensive way to improve handling (drop is almost negligible at a 1/2 inch or so). Ours plowed through snow just fine with no high centering etc..

You could also try some KYB AGX shocks and struts. They are dampening adjustable and you can use your stock springs to maintain your ride height. I forget the cost of them but they would be around $400 range... that would stiffen things up a bit depending on what setting you have them at.

A bigger rear sway bar= Eibachs 25mm or similair would get the car to rotate easier. If thats what your looking for. You would find more response stiffening the rear rate.

For a rear bar only, I recommend no more than 21 to 22mm. Anything larger and you should also increase the size of the front bar otherwise the rear could become too loose rather than being neutral (oversteer can be induced by the driver).
