I'm guessing he does not know how any modern OEM pcm with a knock sensor works. Plus he probably has not heard of MBT spark, location of peak pressure, 50 percent burn rate, and etc.

Are you saying that to Tom? Just curious if not then no worries. But Tom is the Focus guru and the goto guy for alot of things around here.

Alot of the newly added 2012 owners wouldnt know a thing about that tho.

on play days you could always add a little 110 just for fun lol i do on autocross days, bout 50/50 110 and 91 octane allows for a little more timing on those days. that & a safety margin.
