Forgive the (likely) stupid question...

Would this do anything to improve MPGs? Not that a few extra HP don't intrigue me, but a bolt-on that legitimately improves fuel economy would make it much harder to pass up.

Probably not but it should not hurt it either; I drive back roads 30 miles to work and my MPG has not gone down since the install, I average between 33-34 mpg.

I do agree with you on the numbers and would never pay 100 bucks per hp gain anyway. The instruction for install actually show the 2012. AEM is just hurting themselves with bad numbers.

if you want better mpgs install a better exhaust system, focusboy got into the low 40s highway that way.

Once you hear it and fall in love with it you will likely be heavier on the gas thus hurting your mpg.

^^^ me too, but I am still averaging 29 mpg. Does your drone from 2500 to about 3500 rpms?

yeah it does i didnt think it would be that loud haha its not too bad in first gear and 2nd gear is louder but 3rd-5th is loud but it gets extremely loud for me especially because i take the parkway to work and im going about 75 80...so im stuck in those rpms in 5th gear. i do like it though

what rpm is 5th gear?

on the DCT 6th gear at 75 is only 2800 rpm
