i crudely charted the HP gains compared to stock and found that this intake based on the posted dyno made an average of 7.4HP more than stock in the rpm range from 3500-6500

Chris
To be honest I might go up there with the factory header and cat and if they allow me to use a lift or something Ill swap the headers for the new ones Im getting.

I spoke with fswerks and they said it looked very similar but never had the chance to see how much of a difference there was between last years and this years... The Fswerks header is the header im getting now and probably a custom flex joint to the exhaust system... The flex is really the only issue.. If you want wait for FSWERKS to announce it because they will be getting another 2012 to test header fitment.

The fswerks header is the best bet if you cant find the obx header with the 2 different flex joints...

I know for a fact the bolt pattern and the header itself goes in without modification. Obviously with the header you lose your cat. after you get the header in just get a 2.5" by 3-6" long flex pipe and get a muffler shop to weld the rest up...

The Flex is the minor mod the MAJOR is just knowing you can use the duratec header without mods.

I honestly dont think anything has changed really when it comes to driveability at all. Still drives the way it should and hauls ass when you punch it.. Ran away from one of our very own around 50 mph getting onto the highway the guy was giving me a thumbs up.. So I know it made a huge improvement if im pulling hard on a stock focus.

I was looking at doing this, it would be farther down the system than the default cat, and you would have to customize the exhaust to make room( i was planning on replacing the first muffler of the fswerks system with the cat) and it still might not be street legal depending on the state, and you would loose some of the gains from the header in the cat. I personally am waiting to see his dyno results to see what the gains are.

It would be amazing if this motor can hit ~200whp with just bolt-ons. That would make me consider keeping my car instead of trading in for the ST. Maybe someone will come out with some pulleys, cams, or intake manifold. Add some lightening and suspension goodies and we have an awesome package.

The question is how much torque can the DCT transmission take?

they are supposed to be rated at 250 ft/lbs but who know real world, focusboy is probably the modder who has done the most to a DCT so far. I want to be fast enough to beat the BRZ/FR-S stock, there probably will be a bunch of people who go stock to the track with those.

apparently the BRZ gets a 0-60 around 6 seconds. Our cars are what, 8?
