Question: what is the best way to have the least amount of texture on the finished product when using plastidip? I used some this weekend on my hood but was not satisfied with the texture at all so i peeled it off and plan on trying one more time... maybe. Any hints/tips out there?

Thicker coats and they will start to level out.

spray evenly, probably holding the can about 8" or so from the surface.
make sure its not breezy.
low humidity, around 70ish degrees

if anybody has anything else, feel free to add to it.

Thats probably what I did. I was spraying the center section of my hood (on the 1st gen Foci- 2001) between the two recesses and I just could not get the center part to level off. I thought i was putting it on pretty thick but i guess not. I plan on doin that then putting on a few layers of clear coat after it has had a few days to fully cure. Hopefully it will give it that "painted" look.

yeah i dipped my wheels when it was like 70 or so and i just kept them out of the sun and away from any breeze or falling debris and then just spray on pretty thoroughly and it should be good

i cleaned it. but the surface wasn't in that even of condition.
