Wow, seeing the finished one is nice. While I was up at there shop I saw prototype one that had not been through powder coating or had the connection to the factory air scoops. Looking forward to getting this .

i just bought the Injen intake. it will arrive this Thursday. i like the way Steeda isolated the filter from the engine compartment. nice setup.

i don't understand how this is different than cutting away half my intake box. can someone clue me in?

Main advantages will be better heat isolation compared to the stock box with the lid removed. And the biggest improvement is going to come from the new MAF housing, since it is billet and the inside is smooth compared to the stock housing means that once we get tuning in conjunction with the intake will have a lot better gains. Just with the intake you will avg between 6-8 whp. with a tune upwards of 9-13 whp maybe more.
And tuning should be much further out, SCT last I talked to them are able to connect to the ECM and make basic changes and save them, they have to work on definitions within their advantage software to be able to fully tune. Also delta force tuning formally Sniper tuning is working on the ECM as well. (Any one who has tuned Chevy's with HPT will like them, very similar)
