You can get it for $9.96 in store. I live in a small ass town and they carried it so I would assume almost any Walmart store w an auto department would have it.

Here is the link for the exact item. It fits very snug around the stock exhaust pipe and tightens down very nicely. I believe the diameter of the inlet is 2.25 inches and the outlet is 2.75 inches. I would not go with anything that has a smaller diameter inlet than this especially since there is a bend in the stock exhaust.

Hi, so you did not do any modifications on the tip? You just used the tools or screws that came along with it?

No modifications. . .it literally just goes on over the stock pipe. No tools come w the tip. You need a wrench for this specific tip to tighten the bolts but it takes no longer than 2-3 minutes to put on.

Ordered one of these after another user posted the link. Rather pricey but seems very well made and widens to a larger 3 1/2 OD at the end. Have not mounted yet because I can't decide whether to cut some pipe from the original tip, or what. I don't like it facing it down but when I mount it more strait back, I can see the original pipe drooping down inside the tip which looks a bit stupid. I'm thinking if I paint the original tip dark grey, it may not be very noticeable. Cutting some of the original pipe would be best cosmetically but I'm pretty careful when it comes to hacking at factory original parts. I can just see the exhaust rusting in 2 years and having Ford tell me I voided the warranty.

Ahhhh... I've been putting off doing something about the ONE thing that Ford didn't dress up on this car. Definitely going to do it now. People can say what they want, but there's nothing wrong with the stock exhaust if you're an average driver. There's no reason your tailpipe should look ugly just because you're not a tuner. I'm all for the tip, it's something that should've been there in the first place if you ask me.

I usually get a laugh out of the 'rice' aisle at my local WalMart but i may have to eat crow and go pick up one of these lol. I was noticing my exhaust tip yesterday and it's way out of character for the rest of the car. Thanks all.

Hahahaha trust me, I felt the same way, but then realized this very cheap addition and had to sneak into the aisle so no one could see me

I found this at Pep Boys, $8.95, open package otherwise 16.99. In the picture it's just sitting on the pipe. I can move it back/up a bit further but I may need to trim the end of the OEM pipe about a 1/4-1/3 inch. The back of the pipe is black and the red stripe is removable. I like the fact that it doesn't face down but out.
Opinions?

For some reason this reminds me of the last generation civics. Looks cool. Wonder what it looks like from the side? Either way, it's like clothes... As long as you like it, that's really all that matters. I'm probably going to get a round or oval one like the original one this thread.
