Most likely either BFG or Goodyear. Those are the two brands my parents and I have regularly used. My Grand Prix has some Goodyear Eagle GTs on its summer wheels and I like them, so I'll see what they'd cost. I'll be getting some quotes from work this week for a few types.

Take a serious look at the Continental DWS, as well. Phenomenal tire.

Awesome car, and even better mods! Subtle and nothing over the top, I like it.

I have a SEL Ebony Black Hatchback and the mods that I have done, and what will be done:

Completed:

Tinted windows

To be completed:

Tinted tail lights

Black Bezel Head lights

Paint Fog Light Bezels

Black vinyl front whiskers, and possibly black out the front and back emblem

OEM Mudflaps(Still thinking about it)

Wheels being ordered tomorrow(Helo Black/Chrome)

Keep up the great work!

I stopped by the parts counter at work today and asked for some prices for some tires. I can get my hands on a set of DWSs for a good price, so I may go that route. I just did a quick bit of research on them too and they seem to be what I'm looking for. The fact that they're still all-seasons will be useful when we inevitably get a bit of snow in June or July and I'm stuck with my summer wheels.

Thanks! Sounds like you've got some good plans for your own Fofo!

Wheels were ordered Tuesday for mine so I am very excited!

I did have a question for you though:

Can you buy just the black bezels for the headlights? If so, how difficult do you think it'll be to separate my current ones?

Just curious if you knew.

Lastly, I was curious how difficult it was to black out your grille? I have a sheet long and wide enough of gloss black vinyl that can be used for the whiskers and the emblems. Was it easy to cut around the lip of the chrome? I have a nice hobby knife to use so I was just curious. Was also wondering what kind of conditions should I be in for applying it? Do I need a heat source? Cold weather? etc.

Thanks!

Keep us posted on your next project!

To answer your first question, I don't know. Though, I honestly wouldn't even bother. If you could cleanly separate the pieces and swap them over, just the effort and care needed to pull apart the headlights and put them back together would leave potential for problems. I suppose in theory it could be done, but I can't say I'd attempt it.

For the grill, it took just minutes. I found enough of a lip to guide the hobby knife I used, that I could easily trace around the outside. I applied it when it was moderately warm outside. Depending on the conditions when you apply it, a bit of heat couldn't hurt. I doesn't have to be hot, but comfortably warm is a nice temperature.

Thank you very much! Going to try to install the vinyl tomorrow!

Thanks! I'm VERY happy that I found these, I think they'll be hard to beat.

Tires:

Today was full of running around gathering parts and working on the Grand Prix.

Yesterday I ordered tires and pressure sensors, which I picked up today. Summer had better come soon, I'm running out of room in my half of the garage!

I ended up picking the Continental ExtremeContact DWS (Thanks for pointing me in that direction Zillon!). I opted for 235/45s, the same size as the tires currently on the Volvo wheels.

I'm still giving the wheels time to cure futher, so the tires won't be mounted just yet. Seeing as how it was snowing again today, that won't exactly be a problem. However, those are two more items to cross off the list.
