I want boost

so after hrs of reading various F/I threads I figured I'd make a post asking for some help. I have a settlement for an injury and I wanted to use some of what I get to put towards a turbo kit.

I have an 03 SVT focus, It has a torrsen T2 diff, ORP 2.5'' borla exhaust and CFM engine/trans mount, I would like to make around 275-350 WHP and I want to keep my engine as stock as possible, I want to boost it and still have a reliable car and not have to worry about it breaking every other week, or be able to DD it if I need too.

I wanna be in the $3000.00 market if that's even possible.

as far as building boost I would want a turbo that starts to spool around
3-3500k and will go to 7k.

I would also like to be able to take it to drag strips and do autoX with the setup.

does any one have any insight on what I should be looking for kit wise and what kind of products I should get. I know tom sells a DIY kit for around $1500 but with the stuff I'd have to get myself where would I be price wise?

It wont be a "reliable DD" with 350 whp. It's possible for sure, but I think you cross the line somewhere on stock motor. As far as getting a motor that will be reliable at that kind of power for around $3000... I don't know. You would need to find a lot of stuff used.
Others will be more helpful as I haven't turboed a Focus, but I helped my Bro turbo his Honda and it took $5000-ish and he is hardly good for 275 whp...

Your in Illinois, leave your SVT alone. And buy my focus.
Read the turbo zetec for Iroc34. That will be cheaper , trust me.

and still need to put it all together .... and My goals is to be above 300 whp with 300tg
