I've been in 15 yrs and went from patrol cap to beret and back. I have to admit I liked the beret as it looked more professional. Most militaries are wearing some kind of garrison head gear. But we are back to patrol caps and that's OK but why are the bills plastic - they're harder to shape. And I feel like a bit of a tool with my name on the back of my headgear. I'm on a NATO post and no one else has their name on the back of their heads.

We wore our patrol caps in the Motorpool and berets on the rest of post, kind of sucked switching headgear 20 times a day.

Of course they wait until i get out to bring back the PC...I hated switching to the beret. Then again I hated switching from BDUs to ACUs too. Now the ACUs just take up space in my closet. Waiting for the zombie apocalypse to happen so i can wear them and stick out like a sore thumb...must get multicam!

Well,

If you guys would take a look at how we in the Canadian Forces form our beret's perhaps they might look better....

Wait, was that a Canadian burn? Haha we know how to firm the beret. The issue is that when one is working outside in a motorpool all day the beret has zero functionality...Eh!
