I have simply cut off the rear section and unbolted it from the car. I can put it back on using a $15 band clamp when I get tired of the noise. I DO like the lookes of some of the dual setups but I am thinking of running a straight pipe after the rear suspension across the car and exit with a single clean tip out of the factory hole (I will open the hole bigger though).
Have you bothered to pay attention to the average age of 2012 Focus buyers? We're OLD!. We're too busy chasing poontang to be unbolting mufflers on a regular basis. And if you haven't noticed, the Focus has 160hp. A muscle car it's NOT. Any attempt to fake performance will garner laughter from those who know. Buy a Mustang.

I have had a Mustang and sold it 3 months after buying it. A modded Mustang is a dime a dozen. I'm sorry you are old and have to chase "poontang". Me personally, I don't have to chase it... I just go home where it is. I am not faking anything. I know that the Focus is only, yes only 160hp. I simply stated that when I want more noise, not massive power, I take the rear section off. Enjoy your Focus how you will. I was simply letting other people who are interested know what can be done.

I know some may not like this, but do a spin off of the rear delete. Instead of the axle ove into a single tip, you can use a "Y" pipe and run two tips.

You'll have one tip sounding like an exhaust leak, the other a mumble, won't work.

Just an Idea to be thrown out there. I saw a couple of the Saturn Ion and cobalt guys do this when I had my Ion, and it all depended where the "Y" was placed for the sound.

I am happy with my single duel tip

I'm on vacation in Vail, CO. I will post pictures when I return. Tips are awesome and the body shop did a great job of cutting the openings.
