But your pictures also tell me that I am glad that the Tuxedo Black was discontinued when I had mine ordered/built.

Gloss black is the way to go! Don't like glitter.

As far as I know.

Gloss Black was offered for a few months after the Tsunami/Earthquake that hit Japan just over a year ago. The company that produces the "glitter" took enough damage to hault production for a while.

They have since re-introduced it.

I am like you, I prefer the solid black. I currently have an F150 & a mustang that are both UA code black. I really wanted my Focus to be black also, but when I ordered it 2 weeks ago, Tuxedo black was the only option. I wanted a manual, and a dealer search for a HB with a manual in black was futile. Oh well, at least it looks black when the sun is not out. It is really the only thing that bothered me, I almost considered an auto, to get black, but dedcided I wanted the manual more.

I wish mine was regular black. I only saw the Tuxedo at night and I liked it. So when the dealer was searching for me they searched for both. I LOVE the color at night. During the day I feel like I'm a shining vampire in twilight. I just hope when I get new wheels it will pull it together more. Either going bronze or white.

Nice lookin' car James. I love my Tuxedo black, I get a lot of compliments on the color when it is sunny out and everyone can see the metallic flake.
