Most dealers or places that keep things legal only will advise towards 50%. Why? Most cars have a slight tint in the window and adding a legal 35% + the OEM tint would make it illegal. Too dark.

Look around more closely at factory cars. Most have the rears tinted now a days.

Finally got my tint done yesterday, took it over to Infinity Tint and Alarms in NW Houston. 20% on the back windows and rear glass, 30% on the front windows using the best film that Solar Gard makes. $199 out the door on sale. It's streaky now but I'm sure it will be gone soon! I'm excited! (Sorry about the overcast day)

Looks very nice.

How do you find the Solar Guard tint? My local Ford dealer uses it. I just want to make sure it doesn't have a greenish tinge to it.

The streaks dry out in a couple days.

It looks good to me, no greenish tinge. and yeah it looks like it's going to rain all week here so my guy at the tint place said it may be a little over a week for it to fully dry due to being a thicker film, but he said it's still good after 2 days to roll down the window. I think I'll give it like 5 days just in case. :D

Tint on my ride.....

Don't remember the %, but the fronts are the legal limit and the rears are not.

But this is Florida so they really don't hassle you unless you are pointing too much attention to yourself!

Nice tint choice. I also like the before and after pictures. This is making me impatient for my March 20 appointment for tint!

Maine law allows 35% on the front side windows, with no darkness limit for the back window and rear sides (the unlimited darkness only if the vehicle has left and right outside mirrors). My plan right now is to go with 35% on the fronts and 20% for everything behing the fronts. I believe the tinting outfit I'm going with uses Llumar High Performance series and lifetime guarantees the tint.
