Of course, re-dye/repaint, or PlastiDip would definitely be the more permanent options...

nothing i've used, NOTHING, works better than Zymol. not the crap Walmart sells either. buy it from a specialty speed shop or direct from mfg. i've been using the Carbon for years on my Escort. won lots of shows with it. when i got my 12 Focus, i upgraded to Titanium. pricey ($75) but it's the best stuff i've ever used. 51% carnuba vs 35% in the Carbon.

Quite honestly, it's a dye. It comes with a foam brush applicator. It's hard to mess up. You clean the area, tape it off, apply, let dry, apply again, until it looks uniform.

IDK if I have any pics of the actual piece.

Here's a pic of my old Volvo. I did the skirts behind the rear wheels. Keep in mind the thing was 10 years old when this was taken. 10 years old with all those years being in NE with salt thrown up on those black skirts.

Yeah Monthers Back to Black is amazing. On my bumper and sides I had white residue from turtle wax (which i will never use again) and I've had it for months I've tried so many chemicals to remove it and it removes it temporarily but once it dries it appears again. I used this "Back to Black from Mothers" in less than seconds of applying it the white spots were gone and it's been 3 weeks and they've never came back since. Great product, recommended!

or, you use a product that doesnt stain trim. Pretty much any halfway decent wax/sealer wont stain trim.

Turtle wax is garbage.

Yeah I dont use turtle wax anymore I use Maguiars Wash & wax

Good stuff but not very durable. On the upside, it's easy and quick to aply and it really makes your black trim stand out.
