Fancy headlights?
I may or may not just buy the ST when it shows up... (I assume they will just be standard...)
Depends mostly on what is happening at the time..
Value of my 2012 trade in.. color, seats.. etc..
And my mood at the time.
The STt would have to blow my mind.. to make me blow my bank account...
The slap from the trade in of the 2012 should hurt some...

I'm calling my parts guy about those lights today!! Out here it often seems like they think something can't be done (installing these lights on my 2012 SE) before the realize that it CAN be done.

We'll see!!

You can install all 2012 focuses. But there is some tricks. I done that before.
- For example, my car already has wiring. No need any hardware modification. Just activated DRL's from IDS.
- My collegues has not wiring for DRL's. We prepared them. We used 2 relays for each headlight. There is no headlight bulb faulty message on screen.

When we tried to use same wiring on my neighbours car, it was not worked. His car has any cabling. Just like US spec focus. We used only one relay (for each headlight) on him car.

For US spec cars, you should have to use relay. First of all you should have to cut low beam cable. We will supply that from our relay. If you are from Canada, or you were already activated halogen DRL's (which is sharing same low bema bulb) please first of all disable that.

If you connected same as last one;
In engine running condution;
- When low beam switch is on, xenon + parking lamp will be up.
- When parking lamps on, xenon + parking lamp will be up.
- When all lamps off, DRL will be on.

engine was stopped;
When parking lamps on from switch, only parking lamps will be active.

All of them same as OEM. Dont forget, Parking lamps and low beams always running together. But, focus not controlling parking lamp current. ;)

I just realized that Ford Australia has projector headlights (bi-xenon) available on their Titanium Focii as well.

The exchange rate on USD to AUD is much more favorable than it is on GBP or EUR, might be a chaper option.

My Service Manager was trying to determine if he could activate the DRLs on my new U.S. 2012 Titanium. We found the order codes which indicate that Ford allows the option of DRLs on FLEET VEHICLE ORDERS ONLY. That's why our dealership vehicles do not have DRLs but, say, Enterprise Rental vehicles may have them. I don't understand why Ford would would restrict this, but they do and there is no option to override it. The service manager said it involves a different module or something. I'm kinda tiffed about it since my last three vehicles (MINI, Dodge and GMC) had them.

A bit off-topic, but I'm looking at the Echomaster LED DRLs. I think they look better than the Euro lamps (especially since I already have the blacked out Titanium lights) but they are a bit pricey. TruckFancy.com has the kit for $359; another $150 if you want them installed through their local partners. I'm not sure if I'm going to do it at this point.

BTW, coming out of a MINI Clubman S, I am very impressed with the new innovations that do come on the Focus (DRL's aside). Ford has really stepped up to the bar when comparing the Focus to a lot of European cars. I'm missing my MINI a little less each day I drive the Focus.
