Why do I have this "no pun intended" sinking feeling that even with this update MFT will continue to be a hopeless POS?

Seems like when they removed the favorites home screen they didn't think about that small detail. Who the heck is up there running this project? I think they should have let us FocusFanatics members do the beta testing.

Well not having the displeasure of using the MyTouch 2.11 or older versions, I have found the 3.0 upgrade that was loaded at the dealership on Weds. when I picked up my Yellow Blaze Ti very nice and intuitive to use.

Kinda glad I waited till now to make my purchase.

stupid question, not tech guy here:
Should i unzip the files before transfer to usb Drive? or just transfer the ZIP file to usb Driver and install?

My #1 goes to the favorites list within the NAV destination screen. The long way to get there is to hit destination, then favorites. That's where i end up.

It is clearly far more responsive and stable but not perfect.

My only disappointment is that the "star 1" and "star 2" buttons apparently cannot be assigned.

Aw hell ... at least you figured it out! The bright side is that she'll be as quick as new (laptop, I mean). If you're installing from factory image / discs, try pc decrapifier program after installing and updating, it helps w/ junkware removal. http://pcdecrapifier.com/features

Unzip the file you downloaded and put the files and folders inside of it on the usb drive. There are 2 files and a folder called syncmyride that should be on the drive for the upgrade.

Thanks guys. I downloaded the file at work and expanded to a stick and began the upgrade. About 15 minutes into it I got a "System Failure...bring to dealership" message. I couldn't do a thing with it. When I got home I downloaded file again with my FIOS connection and disconnected/reconnected the battery. Started the car with the new file in and it worked beautifully. It took an hour, but it worked. Thanks again.
It's awesome to have this site as a resource.

Can pull fuse 67 (under passenger glove box) to reset MFT. But good you got it all working.
