Condition of Head for core return?
I am in the process of an engine rebuild, I want to get your head come a few months / a year or so down the road but want to get the car up and running with the stock head for the time being.
What work can be done to the Zetec head (if any) for you to accept it as an acceptable core? Thanks.

I suppose if it had been flat milled a tad ~.010-.020" would be OK. We do alot of higher compression heads where we are requested to mill them further than the regular amount, and then that would be ok. And I suppose if it had a valve job on stock valves it would be OK as I'm sure there would be far greater material removed when we cut it for the big valves. But no other work - "porting" or the like would be acceptable.

milling/decking is what I am mostly looking at doing. Since my block will be decked and truly flat it would make sense to do the same on the other surface on the other side of the gasket.
