Now well over 12K miles and the transmission still clatters at the up-shifts into 2nd and 4th, and just had the "revs but no power" issue again, all after having the transmission re-programmed. I'm convinced the "revs but nor power" issue is happening when the tranny wants to downshift from 3rd to 2nd, but fails to engage. Must be a hardware problem with that clutch or associated actuators.

r1derbike: Sounds like we have the same problem here with 2nd and 4th. The worst for mine is if I'm in 4th and approach an uphill at lower rpm, it shudders as the hill increases. If it were a manual, I'd just assume I needed to downshift before getting to that point, but the auto doesn't handle it well. Since the S/W update didn't fix it, I'm convinced there is a H/W issue on that side.

I'm waiting on some clutch parts for my 2nd, 4th, and 6th gear side. Shudder is getting worse upshifting into those gears. Really bad. 6th gear shudders so bad at interstate speeds with a headwind, I have to slow down.

I hope it stays together long enough to last the 10 days it's going to take to get the "emergency backordered" parts.

What a nightmare...

On the way over my small hill tonight, on my street at about 10 mph and coasting, the engine rpm soared to 4K for a bit, as if in neutral, and shuddered so violently, when it caught, it shook the whole car.

I'm wondering how long the clutch will last for the 1st, 3rd and 5th gearset, after the other side is replaced?

"We have a problem, Houston"...

You have the same issue I have, Reedleo.

r1derbike: Can you hold it in 5th in the S mode on the highway instead of 6th? Hurts the gas mileage some, but maybe less risk of complete breakdown.

Yes I can...I already drive around the issue in 2nd and 4th by using select shift, and manually shifting around it. Not a thing I like to do, in a brand new car. Sometimes I forget, and plop it in D, and very quickly realize the consequences...

I hope they've redesigned the replacement clutch parts, or this cycle is going to repeat itself, very quickly.

No kidding; for all the effort I put into nursing this car in motion, it should have >100K miles. Hope the repair fixes it for you. If it does, let me know what they did so I can get it done too!

BTW! Does your car now idle roughly when on the brake at a stop? Mine is getting pretty bad, and the idle rpm hasn't changed a bit since new.

Once in a while it will idle rough. A quick shift in/out of Neutral makes it go away. Not frequent enough to make it an issue worth the time to fix for me yet.
