Does it matter where the restrictor is located for the turbo oil feed, at the engine side or the turbo side of the line?

Does the restrictor go into the turbo or piggy back onto the fitting that is in the turbo housing? The reason I ask is because I can't get the fitting lose on the turbo. I assume a restrictor is needed even with the -3 feed line for the comp turbo.

Some of the newer Comp Turbos come with a restrictor you may need to ask them if yours has one already

spoke to comp. They said no restrictor is need using the -3 feed line on journal turbo as long as you have good oil pressure.
