Coilover's I want some imput

So i am going to be buying some coilovers very soon.

I want to know what i can get that people have either ran or know something about.

so on the cheaper end of thing we have
megan racing
d2
k sport

i havent heard much about any of these companies but i would be willing to try them out if someone could shed some light about them

then in the safer zone but more money area we have
koni
bilstein
kw 2's

im really looking for somethings that has not only ride height adjustment but shock adjustment too.


oh and on the i just won the lottery end

i wouldnt even consider your low end list for racing

ive read that d2 didnt do so well and was rebranded as ksport. my friend had megan coils on his RSX and they were garbage too

I didn't know that AST made Coilovers for the Focus.

And I agree stay away from your lower list. And stick with your mid-range and up.

Why not the Eibach Coilovers? Of course I have heard awesome results of the KWs.

yeah AST makes a a set of coilovers for the focus their like $2600

I dont think you can adjust the stiffness in the eibachs.

On the low end, I would consider ST coilovers too. They are KW's without the stainless shock bodies, so you save a little bit there.

Stay away from the d2 and k sport anything really cheap you get what you pay for typically. I have seen the K sports leaking after a relatively few miles. I have been running the KW V3 for many years and like them a lot, I would also recommend the PSS9 or Koni kit

Or even just H&R Race springs and Koni yellows that always been a good set up.

I have D2 coilovers and I like them. No problems with them at all. They have been on my car for over a year now. Atleast 20k miles.

i've heard of Eibachs being mushy after a season and a half.. same with the lower end of your list.

a guy i race with runs the KW 3's and he is in love with them. i've been in the car and they are perfect. that is why i'm going with KW's for my set up.

AST's will most likely go on my Miata.

^^ Pretty cheap coilovers and from H&R ... interesting.

I at the moment run with the KYB AGX adjustables with H&R Race Springs ... I like the ride, but I should have just jumped on Coilovers last year. Oh well, I am going to ride these out to Christmas and look at some Coilovers myself.
