What about trying to wire in and mount a cheap plastic computer desk style mic that can be pointed right toward your mouth? Or maybe a low-end camcorder directional mic?

You could do that if you really wanted to, but like I said I just don't feel it to be necessary; the sound deadening works wonders on its own.

Any idea how to remove the Titanium's panel where the mic is? Does it just pop in an out? I know mine has the sunglasses holder in it.

I just got my Titanium back and there is a mike, ambient lighting control and sunglass holder in the spot where your mike is located.

Here is a diagram of the SEl/titanium unit.

Looks like there might be one screw on there somewhere, but I don't know what these things are supposed to look like so I couldn't give you an exact location. (other than the diagram lol) Other than that looks like it just pops right out.

Anyone get around to doing this? I'd like to know how it's worked out for people.
