My driveway is at least a 10 degree incline so I'm sure it qualifies. Yeah, I guess the feeling is like the brake is engaging without me actually touching it. Haven't paid much attention to exactly what the sequence is, but I can definitely feel it.

I gave the transmission a chance to do its adaptive learning. It's even better than the October update! I'm going to let the dealer know that it's driving much better.

Luh dis.

Then as you accelerate the brakes completely disengage preventing the manual transmission roll-back feel. From my experiences it only engages on an steeper incline not so much miniscule ones. It does detect the grade before it intervenes however.
That as been my experience as well. I always keep my foot on the brake until the clutch engages as I press the throttle.

I called Heiser Ford last night and told them that the TCM/PCM update that they did to fixed my oil minder helped a lot. It's like a different car.

It can actually downshift two gears at a time. Before it had to cycle through 6-5-4 or 5-4-3. Now it goes 6 to 4 or 5 to 3 when I tell it to do that in sport mode.

EDIT: I told them they should apply this for people that complain that the car doesn't shift like it's supposed to. Good luck!

i am schedule to get the 12-01-04 update tomorrow. would i still need the other TSB update done as well (11-10-02 and 11-09-08)? or would they be included on the most recent one? they should be covered by the warranty right?

The current TSB has all you need. There are no prereqs. This is a warranty item.

As for it being a warranty issue, it depends upon your dealership. Mine wouldn't accept it as such but did it as a "customer response" issue.

A week and a half later and a few hundred miles

Well, it is a lot better since the update but its not 100%. I still feel it "hunting" under hard acceleration (merging onto the highway and going from say 35 and trying get up to speed). I used to have to stomp it to get it into the gear that it needed to be in, now it goes there but still seems to not want to fully engage in that gear.

I'm thinking of performing the drive cycle again, not knowing how/if it was done at the dealer. Anyone else seen this? Any thoughts?

Joe
