(Why does the 57 series on Amazon (at the top of the screen) say it DOESNT fit the 2006 Ford Focus, yet, under "Product Features" it says it DOES???)

Otherwise, does anyone have any opinions on, or know anything about how the AEM Dual Chamber Intake works on a Ford Focus? Good? Not so good? Better than a traditional Cold Air Intake?
No offense, but if you're going to drop near $200 for a CAI, why not go with one that has been proven countless times and is a fantastic design such as the FSWERKS?

I'm not sure I would trust the one listed on Amazon, and the one you listed on Ebay is ONLY $12 cheaper than the FSWERKS.

Keeping my opinion out of it, physics says it is definitely not a fantastic design. Better than stock, yes. Fantastic, sorry but no. There are design aspects of it that make absolutely no sense.

I just put the FSWerks on my car. I notice a slight increase in power, but nothing too over the top. The pep is a litle better off the line, but overall, I still notice a lack of solid power in the 2-4 range.

Dammit! Just got my Smog notice in the mail. Now I've got to take off the CAI and put back on the stock intake. Shit.

Sucks man, that's kinda why I went with the FIPK II from K&N. Smog legal.

Do you need a stock intake? I still have mine lying around. (PZEV from 04 with 40k miles on it)

Nah, I saved mine. I think what I'm going to do is put the stock one back on, but only enough to where it looks good. I'm not going to spend the time putting back on just the way it was. I think even if done half-assed it'll still pass the sniff test. Visual for sure.

Can't wait though, because the moment I am done with Smog, I'm going to order my header/exhaust/flexpipe/tune.

Damn seriously the FSWerks one doesn't meet CARB standards? That is a bummer. Why does CA have to suck so bad. That is the intake I was looking to buy. I most likely still will go with it. Just sucks I will have to do the stock swap on smog years. If your car passed the sniff test portions of the smog test who gives a crap what modifications you have done. What's the point of having the emissions standards AND then the modification restrictions on top of it.

That's Cali for you. The only upside to a Focus is that you can halfass putting back the stock intake (to save time and energy) and the car will still pass the sniff test with flying colors. I hopefully will get my smog done next week. In the mean time, I'm going to order my header/flex/exhaust, so by the time smog is done and I have everything hooked back up, my car should be fast as grease lightening! ...for being slow as shit.

Then I'll get the tune to round 'er off. Hopefully she'll pull like a sonofabitch and I'll notice a big difference. I can't wait! The sound alone should put me in a good mood. Hopefully.
