I'm not sure what is the BT nightmare with two phones. You setup one as the primary (like my Wife's). When we get in the car, her phone always receives the phone calls.

My wife's phone did have a pairing issue initially. It would randomly connect and disconnect. Annoying when in the middle of a phone call. Then Verizon pushed an update on her phone. Now the BT connects flawlessly. Seems problems are not just MFT, but also can be your own phone.

But I'll turn the car off and get out and the MFT screen will still be frozen for a little bit but eventually turn off after a few minutes. Probably so it doesn't drain the battery.

Sometimes when it happens I'll call support basically to just let 'em know it happened AGAIN! and document the occurrence. They'll tell me to pull the fuse and that the update is coming soon which addresses these issues. I've pulled the fuse before, but now I just let it reboot on it's own.
That SAME exact thing has happened to me - some ghost in my car seemed to keep turning up the volume, even after I kept turning it down. Really freaky. I'm really really REALLY hoping this major update coming soon is going to change the way MFT works. I'm not happy at all with my 6 month old car, and that just frustrates me.

Anyone else have issues with HD radio.... The non HD radio stations are a lot louder than the HD stations, so if you go into an area that loses HD radio, prepare to be blasted hard if you have the music relatively loud while on an HD station.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it but somewhere in the settings i've came across a speed compensation option, i think under the sound setting. basically my understanding is that as you go faster the car makes more noise so the radio volume will adjust accordingly. Maybe this feature is whats changing your volume.

It is a definite glitch. I have speed comp disabled and I've run into it about a half dozen times. Screen will be locked up, steering wheel controls locked up, only thing that works in the manual volume knob. I turn it down and and it works its way back up to "really loud". Turn it down again and it becomes louder and louder, etc. Can't even turn the music off because it is locked. This creates a really dangerous driving condition when you constantly have to adjust the volume while driving.

it seems the only issue I have with the MFT is the freezing and constant resets, I did read that Ford employee's are testing the latest version of MFT an overhaul of the current system. TBA when its release...

The point is really that trying to get both phones to do something at the same time is a nightmare. I.e., your wife's phone for calls, yours streaming music.

And yes, often times they don't pair properly anyway. MFT will freeze when we try to connect to a different phone once it's already paired with the default (disconnect default via Bluetooth Devices menu, touch desired device, connect it). Again, doing that is not easy or intuitive at all either.

Why we don't have a button to just toggle between connected phones right from the main music interface is beyond me. Press and MFT automatically disconnects one and reconnects another. Simple?

Other niggles include sometimes the streaming music comes out of my phone and will refuse to play through the speakers unless I disconnect/reconnect a few times. This also causes freezing sometimes.

Anyway I've had the APIM replaced once, so we'll see what's next. Considering I have a Windows Phone that works wonderfully, and is supposed to be compatible with MFT just fine, I don't see that blaming the phone for shoddy MFT implementation is fair.

If it says Voice Nav/ Sirius travellink $795 then maybe your car is broken and needs to be fixed, or replaced (it's worth it!) otherwise your dealer did not know what they were selling you. I would go back asapbecause that is not a MFT glitch. If it says SD Card Fault then it is MFT Related... If it just says "Information" then it will NOT be fixed by the update. Go to the dealer and please let us know!

Took the car to the dealer this moring and got a call back about 4 hours later. They told me that when the car was traded from a different dealer the other dealer installed the wrong MFT firmware w/o navi/siriuslink/etc. They have reflashed the firmware and it now has fully working navi! Thank god, didn't want to rip all my new speakers/amps/woofers out! So if you have purchased a Focus with MyFordTouch full Navi, and it doesn't work or seems like it's non existent, no worries its a quick flash/install at your local dealer and your back to normal.

Definitely a glitch, happened to me once a few months back.

Here's hoping a truly outstanding fix is en-route!

Hmmm, that's interesting. As far as I know, the current line of thinking is that the nav can only be installed at the factory. This account would tend to dispute that. On a more devious level, that could mean that with the right firmware flash and a clone of a nav SD card, anyone could get nav in their cars.
