We are really comparing apples and oranges. This kit comes with new trim pieces, with the LEDs already installed, angled properly and sealed. Also, you have to look at the quality of the enclosure and the LEDs. I was aware that I can buy cheap LEDs and cut the stock pieces myself, and do all the wiring connections. I was not interested in doing all of this myself. This kit was perfect for me.

The current price is a little high, but I expect it to drop. I am an early adopter, so I am used to paying a slight premium. You can always sell your stock trim pieces to recoup some of the cost of this kit.

I'm a DIY kinda guy, and for the cost of the DRL LED kit I can buy a set of Eibach springs and a rear sway bar
