I never really liked having the whole hood black so I'm trying something a bit different and I'm liking it a lot better. Sorry for the poor picture but it was getting dark.

And I got a bit bored waiting to go into work so I took a few pictures of the back. Sorry about all the stuff scattered around. That is the main reason I'm doing this build. I'm sick of having all the stuff I need to carry with me thrown all over the car.

Just popped in to see what's up. Keep up the modding. Btw is your box birch plywood or solid birch? Just asking as plywood should never be used for a sub enclosure. Mdf, solid wood or fiberglass are the best choices. But in the end if it works for you then dooooo iiiittttt :)

I used 3/4" Birch Plywood.

That said, I did a little more research on the subject of Birch plywood vs. MDF to try to get an answer, and I still don't really know which is better. Many of the forum threads (not on FF.com) that I found come to the conclusion that Birch plywood is better than MDF in almost every way. Then I find threads that say the MDF is way better than birch plywood and that any plywood should be avoided. I already have mine built so the subject of which is better doesn't really effect me anymore, but if someone asks which is better, I still have no idea.

The real reason I used the wood I did was because it was what I had and it didn't cost me a thing. If I had to go out and buy the wood, I probably would have gone with MDF or solid birch board. Furthermore, for me, this whole subject of what is better is like going to a restaurant and only judging it on the forks. There are a lot more important thing to me than the subwoofer and the system I have blows away the stock (non-subwoofer) system I used to have. It may not be solid silver but it sure beats plastic forks.

Now that that's out of the way, it's time to was my car again. I cleaned it yesterday but now it is completely covered in mud splotches and road crap. I hate melting snow.

What one day of use does to my Svt (the picture still doesn't do it justice because you can't see how much slop made it on the windows and roof). I had cleaned it yesterday but after running around at work in the slop and mud, it came home looking like this. Now it's clean again.

I like what you did to the hood. I've always liked that look.
I like unique builds like this. Interesting interior work.

Thanks. I really like the way the hood is now a lot more than having the whole thing black. I've seen to many rusted out civics running that look. lol

There's still a lot of work to go on the interior but it's great to see things start to pull together. I need to figure out how the sidewalls of the trunk area will be designed but that's all part of the fun.

Windsheild Sun Shade

With the addition of the black roof and hood, I felt having "FOCUS SVT" written on the windshield was a bit to much so I removed that one and made a new one.

Cut and ready to install. All I used was window tint so I can still easily see stop lights and other high things. My states laws say that you can do anything to the top 6" of the windshield.

Installed. I don't know why the camera made a shadow.

And a couple outdoors.
