I have the pump, have new gold mc coolant, need gasket. Will order it right now. Ill let u know if i get that day off soon. Ill get the vin # and pm it 2 u as well

May I ask why the Vin number is important? Since we already know it's an SVT.

^^^ I just wanted to make sure I was looking at the right car to make sure i had the correct torque specs. The non SVT and SVT have different specs on the cam pulleys.

He will not loose any if he doesn't replace the water pump. It is recommended though since your right there.

Wish I were there, I would show you guys how to do it. It's so easy, even a caveman.......you get it. Technically, the water pump is not in the way, it's just kind of a bitch to get to, so while the engine is jacked up/lowered, it makes it easy to replace. Seeing as they commonly go out, might as well. The valve cover gasket should come with grommets for the valve cover bolts.......change these grommets as well. I can't stress enough to NOT use the cam bar and timing pin to "hold" the cams in place. You will need an impact and some large torx bits, like 55 and 60. Wish I were there to do this for ya man. I have been knocking them out in my area free. Just teaching peeps how to do it works for me. Need anything, you know how to get in touch with me.

Yeah between Paul(sleepyboy) and I, we have probably done about 4-6 Timing Belts and about 3 SVTs ... one of them twice ... (mine ... for shame, lol).

Here I was looking through this thread thinking it was forever old, turns out you guys haven't even done it yet! My engine is out, on a stand, and one of the things I'm doing is the timing belt, so I'll be watching your progress for tips ;)
